Lucky Rapp is a self taught artist although her mother was pregnant with her while getting her degree in art and interior design, which could reflect the principle permeable possibilities of osmosis.
Lucky graduated from SDSU with a degree in sports medicine and athletic training. Born in the Bay Area, Lucky has traveled extensively throughout Europe, India, and Asia and has lived in Germany and Paris.
In Mannheim she became successful as a designer of window concepts for the large multi-house department store in that town. Through this time she also worked on other projects, one of which was running an art gallery out of her 19th century apartment. She selected local artists, presenting one artist at a time and created an appropriate concept for each show. These concepts extended from the invitations to complete transformations of the gallery interior. These events and shows were widely enjoyed and often provoked interesting debate.
She returned to the Bay Area in 2001, where she lives and creates in San Francisco's Mission District.
