Sonja Navin in the side gallery portrays figures and landscapes, often bathed in a captured, crisp lighting that is one of Navin’s unique approaches. Various passages on her life-route inspire her to capture scenes that produce images combining figuration and abstraction. Her recent series explores finding beauty in forgotten, often neglected parts of the city. Navin attended the University of Michigan and received degrees in Architecture and began painting.
